Nottingham Company is owned by Performance Process, Inc. (PPI) with offices and manufacturing facility located in Mundelein, IL.
In January 2000, PPI purchased the Nottingham Company in Atlanta, GA,, where a new “state-of-the-art” Treated Silica production facility
was installed. This new facility was built to give PPI a greater presence in the market, better serve our customers, and more than double our production capacity.
Nottingham and PPI currently produces
Treated Silica for a wide range of markets, including: Plastics, Paints, Inks, Adhesives, Coatings, Toners, Defoamers, Silicone rubber, Silicone sealants, Cosmetics, Foods, Agriculture, Fire extinguishers, resins, etc.
Nottingham has been a well known name in the chemical industry for over
50 years. In the beginning, Nottingham was producing
and servicing multiple products in the Pulp and Paper, Mining Floatation, Phosphorus, and Chemical Distribution markets. In 1997, the Nottingham Company, began selling its multiple Business Units; and completed this venture in August 2000, at which time PPI purchased the Manufacturing facility and the Chemical Distribution
Business.
Today, Nottingham continues to expand in
the Chemical Distribution and Toll Manufacturing Business; while directing resources toward new business development in new markets
and applications for Treated Precipitated Silica. |
