What is Treated Silica

Versatile fine particles that delivers functionality to your most demanding application.  Nottingham Silica products PROFUSIL, Fumed Silica and PERFORMOSIL, Precipitated Silica provide exceptional performance benefits for many applications and industries.  We continue to focus on advancement of our  particle technologies to bring unique fumed and precipitated silica to meet your individual situations and requirements.  We manufacture single and  multiphase particle-composites for specific properties,  which include  stability, dispersion,  hydrophobicity, and functionality.  Because of their unique particle characteristics, and large surface area, fumed silica provides superior performance and many benefits for various types of applications which include adhesives, plastics, sealants, paints, coatings, toners, cosmetics, inks,  food additives, and defoamers.

With Sixteen (16) Precipitated products and Three (3) Fumed products, its most likely possible that we will have the right product for your application.  Should you require some "tweaking" or something new, our experience and technology will be available to assist in your specific needs.

Surface area, particle size and hydrophobicity levels are the important properties  of treated silica.  These properties, to an extent, may be modified to accommodate unusable situations which require something more than just the standard products.

We will help our customers find the right fumed and precipitated silica for their specific needs.  If you have a question about the right fumed  or precipitated silica for your application, please contact our offices in Mundelein, IL. or Atlanta, GA.
